1. Overview
From 1 April 2025, Namibia introduced visa requirements for most non-African countries. This includes the UK, US, Canada, EU countries, Australia, New Zealand, and Japan. Visitors must always confirm visa requirements before travel, as policies may change.
2. Passport and Entry Requirements
All visitors must have a valid passport with at least six months’ validity beyond their date of entry, and at least three blank pages for entry and exit stamps. A valid return or onward ticket is mandatory.
3. Visa Exempt Countries
Visitors from the following countries do NOT require visas for Namibia:

5. Visa Application
Travellers can apply for visas online via the official Namibia e-Services Portal . Visas issued are valid for up to three months from the date of issue and allow stays of up to 90 days from entry. Extensions for an additional three months can be applied for at the Ministry of Home Affairs in Windhoek.
6. Visa on Arrival Locations
Visa on arrival is issued only at selected entry points and only for tourist purposes:

Travellers visiting for purposes other than tourism must submit visa applications with relevant documentation to the appropriate Namibian offices or missions.
7. Temporary Residence Permits
Temporary residence permits can be applied for at Namibian embassies or high commissions abroad. For more information, please visit the Namibian Ministry of Home Affairs, Immigration, Safety and Security website.
8. Application Process

- Create an account on the e-Services Portal
- Fill in application and upload documents
- Pay online
- Download and print the visa
- Present the visa on arrival
Visa on Arrival Steps:
- Obtain form online or on arrival
- Submit form and documents
- Pay at the border
- Visa is issued at entry
9. Entry Requirements
- Valid passport with 6 months validity and 3 blank pages
- Printed visa and supporting documents
- Travel insurance and proof of funds
- Return ticket or onward travel
- Yellow fever certificate (if applicable)
- Birth certificate and consent letter for minors (if applicable)
10. Extensions and Work
- Tourist visas can be extended up to 90 days at immigration offices
- Short-term work permits are available via the e-Services Portal
