Our Story

We're brothers, Ian and Jamie. Originally from Edinburgh, Scotland, our family roots run deep in Namibia, a country we travelled to extensively throughout our youth. Having relocated to South Africa nine years ago, we established our permanent home base here - a launchpad that allows us to regularly travel, research, and track routes across Southern Africa.

Our backgrounds sit at the intersection of law and finance, providing us with the analytical framework required to manage complex international travel logistics. What began as a personal passion for Namibia’s surreal, unique landscapes quickly evolved into Namibia From The Roadside - now a global community of over 63,000+ independent travellers and enthusiasts.

How We Operate

We're a South African-registered travel design agency specialising in tailor-made Namibian itineraries. We serve clients globally Europe and North America, Africa etc. acting as your single point of contact before, during, and after your journey.

Because we operate as an agile agency rather than a rigid on-the-ground operator, we maintain absolute independence. We are not forced to push a specific vehicle fleet or fixed route. Instead, we have the flexibility to match your group's specific requirements with the absolute best local assets in the country.
