This manual is published in terms of Section 51 of the Promotion of Access to Information Act (“PAIA”) to assist persons wishing to access information from Namibia from the Roadside in accordance with the Act.

Namibia from the Roadside is a private business that offers curated travel itineraries and planning resources for travelers exploring Namibia.

6. Procedure to Request Access

To request access to any record, the requester must complete the prescribed form (Form C) and submit it to the Information Officer at the contact details provided above. A request fee may apply.

Your request must include:

  • Sufficient details to identify the record

  • Proof of identity

  • The form of access required (electronic, physical, etc.)

  • The reason for the request (optional but recommended)

7. Grounds for Refusal

Access to information may be refused on the following grounds:

  • Privacy of a third party

  • Confidential information of third parties or the business

  • Protection of intellectual property

  • Likely harm to commercial or financial interests
