Von einer leidenschaftlichen Facebook-Community zu einem florierenden Online-Hub – 7 Jahre, über 55.000 Mitglieder!

Our Origin

Seven years ago, Namibia From The Roadside began as a small Facebook group, from a family with deep connections to Namibia. It was made for Namibians and Namibia lovers alike to share photos of the land they love. Dunes, wildlife, rugged roads, and people with a story to tell.

Now, Namibia From The Roadside has blossomed into a vibrant online community of over 55,000 members and counting. It has become the de facto Namibia online forum for travellers sharing tips, stories of travels, and of course, still sharing photos.

In 2025, the founders of Namibia From The Roadside built Namibiafromtheroadside.com. From us to our community, this website is yours.

Our Philosophy

This project began through love of a country, and grew through the power of community. We believe that coming together and sharing stories with each other has the power to broaden horizons, create unforgettable human experiences, and allow for respectful interactions in a country that is teeming with undisturbed wildlife, ancient cultures, and deep history.

Whether you're discovering it for the first time or exploring new corners, we aim to inspire meaningful journeys, support local creators, and keep the Namibian spirit alive through every step of the adventure.
